The estate’s great wine comes from the oldest vines. Château Lafon-Rochet is a wine that is both simple and complex, it expresses aromas of black fruits in the majority of vintages, there is really a fade and a particular expression of Saint-Estèphe, a certain warmth and roundness while finesse from the Merlot grape variety.
Château Lafon Rochet
Lafon-Rochet is a close neighbour to Lilian Ladouys and is among the greatest terroirs of St-Estéphe. The vineyards are mainly located around the château in a large contiguous plot, not far from Cos-d’Estournel, Cos Labory, and across the stream in Pauillac, Lafite-Rothschild.

Tasting note: This merlot-based blend, is showing some freshness as well as smoothness with a straight and pure taste of ripe fruits. Its balance and structure built an intense wine with density. The final is quite suave also.
