Now on their fourth generation of winemakers, Génot-Boulanger produces classic wines from 22 hectares scattered from Chambolle Musigny to Mercurey. Fruit is farmed organically and biodynamically, as the duo believes that these practices best showcase Burgundy’s many unique terroirs. This Vieilles Vignes bottling is whole-cluster pressed and fermented with native yeast in barrel with no batonnage. The wine is aged for 12 months in barrel, 20-30% of which is new, followed by an additional six months in steel. Rich, round, and balanced, this wine is a prime example of just how good Chardonnay from Savigny-les-Beaune can be.
