This 15 year old expression from The Glenlivet, was matured in French Limousin Oak casks. Limousin Oak is a popular choice for maturation of Cognac.

The Limousin oak that The Glenlivet used was cut in France’s Dordogne region, where it’s often used to mature cognacs. Its low density allows whisky to sink deep into the wood, and we carefully control how long the whisky matures in the casks so as not to overpower the desired result: a unique, pleasing spiciness.

Tasting Note: Nose: The nose is rich and oaked. There are notes of chewy resinous wood with a well-balanced acidity. The palate is full and rich with winter spice, such as cinnamon and cloves. The finish is long and dry with a peppery note.
